Here is what we are doing at Dental Care of Fremont:
We replaced plastic patient cups with wax-coated paper cups.
We replaced disposable plastic suction tubes with paper ones.
We replaced plastic “goodie” bags which we give to hold toothbrushes, floss, and other home care items with a distinctive paper bag.
We replaced regular trash bags with biodegradable trash bags
In general, we try to use less of everything stopping short of compromising patient care and sterilization standards.
